Can you describe in detail what kind of paint you used and the process you painted it in? Did you dip it in paint or spray it? What was they drying process? Does it seem easy to scratch the paint now or is it a protective finish like the BB has out the box? Did you have to prepare the phone before you painted it like sanding or anything like that?

Really? the flat black looks really nice to me. im also using krylon. specifically krylon fusion for plastics, is that what you used? the flat black from krylon fusion matches the oem siderails exactly

Im using krylon fusion paint for plastics. its a spray paint. Its great because theres no need for primer. all i had to do was sand the oem paint down to the plastic, and paint it. i waited about 10-15 minutes between coats. I also used a krylon clear coat for protection. its seems pretty scratch resistant to me so far. my friends had his for a couple days now and its still perfect. The paint itself dries in about 20 minutes, but the full curing process takes 7 day. What i had my friend do was a buy a case that wasnt too tight and just put it on for a week. Ill post good pics after the curing proces is over

Already ordered that a few days ago! its gonna look so nice once installed.. itll really set the black off.

black shouldve been the first color released IMO.

BTW if any of you guys wanna get your painted, i'd be more than happy to do it. My friend was showing his off today and one of is friends suggested that i should be charging ppl for it. Colorware is just too damn expensive for a paint job

What you should do is go to cnn.cn and buy about 5 housings so you could paint them as needed (requested color) and then do a exchange program where you charge someone lets say 20.00 for the paint job and they are required to givea 30.00 deposit (which they get back when they send you their housing) Know what I mean?

I was thinking something similar. Except for now id have to have people send in their current housings and let me paint those, because im broke! but once i get going thats what ill do. And id be charging a very reasonable price, especially in comparison to colorware's $120 price tag

How could people send you their current housings? It would be kinda hard to use the BB without a housing

^^I think he meant send a $30 security deposit to assure him that the buyer will send the original housing once they get the new one.

So what I think he meant is for the buyer to send the original housing only after they get the new one...that's how they could put it on

thats correct, nyne7lac, but only assuming their current housings are in good condition. but if not, thats just a sacrifice theyll have to make if they want a painted berry. its kinda inevitable, even colorware makes you berryless for 2 weeks

thanks! The only colors i have right now are black an flat black, but i can get others upon request. Here a list of the colors i know i can get for sure. Theres more than this, but this is just what i remember off the top of my head:

blue
navy blue
red
green
brown
white
green
satin red
satin dark green
satin white (satin is basically flat/matte)

and for the protective coat:

clear finish - makes the color glossy
matte finish - makes and color flat/matte (removes glossiness, but is still protective)

again, those are just off the top of my head, but i know there are more at my local walmart/hobby lobby/sherwin williams. just lemme know what color you want and ill check.

as for the price:

if you want a new housing, the price is going to be 60$, because the housing, with the bottom antenna cover piece, comes out to about $30, plus shipping. and the paintjob is $25.

If you want to send your current housing, itll be $25.
