Default Transfer old emails to BB after Enterprise Activation

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, hope someone out here can help me find a better way to do this.

Issue: user forgot pw and wiped handheld.


Is there a way to move old emails from the inbox back to the BB (after activation only new emails are coming in)?

I know you can forward any email to yourself but it will show that the come from you and not the original sender.

You can try a trick to trigger pre-pop (EA'ing a user on a BB PIN they are already registered to on BES does not trigger it).

Once user has wiped device, EA them on a spare you have. Then send them EA details, get them to do it on handheld, and they will get the pre-pop messages.

Otherwise remove them from BES (remove user information) and then readd reactivate. this will then be a new user and trigger pre-pop generally

Yeah, but you lose all the backed up settings and data, and have to repopulate the new account with PIM sync data etc. If you have a spare device to do a double-EA, it tends to actually be easier. Admin just needs to generate EA pwd, activate device, then send a new EA pwd to user and they activate their device. Doneski.
