Help with Blackberry Ringtones
Please Login to Remove!
Hello all.
First, if I have posted this thread in the wrong place, I apologize.
I am trying to figure out how I can delete and or rename my ringtones on my BB 7520. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I don't think you can delete the pre-installed tones. For ones you have downloaded, go to Profiles, click on a profile and select Show Tunes and click on the tune, then click delete.
I also don't think you can rename them on the BB. If you downloaded it from somewhere originally, you could download to your computer, rename it, then email it to yourself with the new name.

With BES 4.0. I think you can.
Otherwise, you have to e-mail yourself a web browser link.

I uploaded a few midi files to my server and pointed my browser on my VZW 7250 to the midi. The media player loads up and plays the midi but at a fast rate. I have a 25 second midi I like to use as a ringtone but when it play it plays at warp speed in a total of 4 second. Any ideas why this is?
Thanks!

http://www.mididb.com/
Find a song that you like, right-click, copy link, and then e-mail that link to yourself. Then open the link on the BB.
For example, A Hard Day's Night

BB's in general, except the 7100 series, are horrible at playing ringtones. They aren't capable of playing polyphonic ones, only monophonic.
As for emailing yourself the ringtones:
Send it directly to your "@provider.blackberry.net" address. Sometimes I've found attachments don't always work if sending to accounts that forward to the blackberry automatically or to accounts that the web client dials into. The desktop redirector also does not forward attachments at all.

I'm having the same problem with a ringtone -- plays at light speed. Did you ever figure out what the problem was?
