Talking ebuddy messenger beta

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everyone, not sure if this is the right location to post this but if not, please move to appropriate thread...

For anyone looking for a messenger that is free aside from the ususal all in ones, i just found a beta version of e-messenger for blackberry...

i'm testing it out now, but on a crappy low wireless signal. If someone could give some feed back as to how it is and if's it good, at least that's one other alternative to the other all in one messengers...

the link is below

cool, thanks. looks to use data, not SMS.

Clients supported: MSN, Yahoo, GTalk, AIM and MySpace.

** moving this thread to Aftermarket Software.**

If someone installs this, please report back.

Wirelessly posted (Curve 8330)

Looks good, decent user interface (navigation reminds me of Opera Mini a bit). I am going to stick with JiveTalk though. Ebuddy is not as easy to navigate. It has a good UI, and is probably a good alternative to others because it is free (at least the beta is).

I just downloaded it and set it up. It's pretty slick I set up my gmail, MSN, AIM, and yahoo accounts and connected no problem. Just make sure you set the permission correctly to allow access to multimedia. You can even create your ebuddy account on the BB. So far so good, although it's only been installed for 5 minutes. Nice interface. Would be nice if you could configure it to save emoticons to your SD card rather than system memory.

I don't have wifi on my VZW 8130. You can go into Options->Advanced Options->Applications locate ebuddy in the list of apps, bring up the menu, and select Edit Permissions. For phone I allow USB and Bluetooth; for interatctions I all interprocess communication, device settings modification, media access, module management, and theme data injection; user data is allow. It seems to work for me like that.

Hope this helps

That may have helped some people - but the thing that worked for me when I had this identical problem was to input the APN settings...

confused?

I just made a blog - and the first post I've made covers this problem for the Curve 8310.

Take a look here - www . myrefuge.co.uk/blog/ - there's a space because until I have 10 posts I cant post a link.

Hopefully this helps people who have the same problem.
