Default Bluetooth Passkey Prompt

Please Login to Remove!

I keep getting the bluetooth Passkey prompt from from Notebook on my blackberry about every 10 seconds. I don't have either device listed on the other and am not in pairing mode and neither do I wish to pair the devices. How can I get rid of this? It happens every time I reboot my computer and it's well annoying.

Thanks

Lol... heck, if that were the case I would connect to their computer and download all their music as quickly as I could. Unfortunately it's my own damn laptop. Where do I go to change the discoverable setting?

Wirelessly posted (Curve)

Manage Connections>Bluetooth Options. Once in Bluetooth options, press menu button, choose Options and check Discoverable - it should say 'no'.

Guys, I checked the Bluetooth Discoverable option, and it was set to NO!

Limdavid, I don't know what you mean by disconnecting the Bluetooth. But I can't disable Bluetooth on my BB, as I use it with my car's handsfree phone system.

The prompt pops up about every 10 seconds with the message " Enter numeric passkey for MyNotebook: ". Anything I enter on the screen is taken as the passkey.

This is annoying as hell...

Any updates on this? I'm going through the same thing with my Bold. Neither the bb or my computer is in discovery mode.

If you have nothing connected to your laptop via bluetooth why don't you just turn off the bluetooth radio on the laptop.
