Question me dead is some type of code????

Please Login to Remove!

ok so today i was txting in my blackberry pearl like always and me and my girlfriend tend to play around when we text and we replaces the word I for me. So i was trying to say "me dead" but i typed it like an action so i put this sign around it * so it ended looking like this *me dead* for some reason it wont let me send it it says network out of order i can send me dead without asterisks and i can send other words with asterisks around it its just the words me dead surrounded by asterisks causes a network out of order for my txt and it also happens with her phone too. My carrier is t-mobile i was wondering if its some type of code or something? does this happen to anyone else?
