Thank you.
From what I can tell, they added Olympics and election portal which you could have found in the news/rss site. Maybe its a bit faster than previous beta. Still have CFL. No NFL

Unhappy Error trying to download the BES version

When I try to download the BES version, I get a 404 error. It can't find:

/bb/bb/4.2/ViigoCE/ViigoCE.jad

Guess I'll have to stick with the beta version I have for now.

Yes there is a new private beta with one added feature, yes it is and it works pretty good...

I'm not going to say any more so please don't ask.

I get a 404 error in trying to download the standard version. It can't find:

/bb/bb/4.2/ViigoSE/ViigoSE.jad

Actually to get the Standard version, you need to go to getviigo.com/beta

We must've found it before they were really ready...

Why can't Viigo get the date right in the Weather function (Today, Thursday, August 7, 2008 is showing August 6, 2008).....just pull today's date from the device and increase by one for each day of the week with logic to rollover for each month.......aaaarrrrrggggghhhhh, I know it is beta but come on...if you can't get such a basic feature right how can we expect the rest of the app to work correctly!!!!!

I'm curious how speed compares to the regular Viigo (V2) and to other RSS readers that people have left Viigo for, such as NewsGator.

This might just be me...but I installed Viigo then couldn't get past replying to one e-mail before my phone would crash and need a battery pull. I eventually uninstalled it, and now I think I'm going to go back to the original for the first time.

I got a 'viigo bulletin' this morning that notified me that the NFL scores have been added to the sports section...

However, the CFL crap is still on the front page of the app... as are Audio & Podcasts, Travel and Local Interest - all of which are NON FUNCTIONAL SPACE WASTERS. And I tried to add feeds for the olympics (Beijing 2008) and got shut down after I added my 10th feed. There are hundreds of events at the olympics and we can only follow 10 feeds?

The date is wrong on the weather app (it says Sat, Aug 08, 2008 instead of correctly saying Sat, Aug 09, 2008).

The sports scores app STILL shows yesterdays scores ahead of current day's games in progress OR final scores.

And the entertainment app is STILL nothing but a huge advertisement for bplay, disguised as something useful.

Finally, they refuse to provide and information about the month-late updates...

I guess it's time to give it up and move on...

The weather date was fixed. Correction. It's screwed up again. Still one day behind.

Thank you on the NFL stuff. The weather app is indeed below par. I still use news feeds.
I would not mind seeing NCAA Scores as well.

I think the Viigo app is working out pretty good, I have never had any problems with the weather and the date. Just the sports scores being backwards.

I think that the future of VIIGO is looking very very promising. I cant really really get into it but I think if you are to be patient, you will see that it will be worth the wait

Viigo doesn't support podcasts in 8700g, too bad.

They don't support podcasts/audio AT ALL, at least not yet. The empty teaser on the main screen is not functional for any model or device.

Thumbs down No automatic download of full articles

Latest Viigo still doesn't automatically download full articles when it does an update. It only downloads them when you specifically select each individual article. For someone who uses an RSS reader when on a plane/out-of-range, FreeRange is still the best choice (regardless of its continued problem of time-outs). It also has all of these other categories that you can't delete. Finally, it's website is having major problems. Every time I went to delete one of the pre-configured feeds, it bumped me out to the login screen and I had to re-log-in (did it on both IE and Firefox).
