It is important that the CPU in the BlackBerry can keep up with the increased data transfer. Just like early 486's and Pentium I original's could not run web browsing at full speed with Cable Internet. Often to the point where a slower 256 Kbps DSL connection on a Pentium IV or Athlon, is much faster than a 486 on a 1.5 Mbps connection when trying to view a website such as
www.cnn.com
The speed differential won't quite be 3X -- unless you're planning on using tethering (which doesn't use much CPU processing). People like me alreaady know that 1X is faster than GPRS, however, the GPRS 7280 browses the web much faster than the CDMA 7750. (To CDMA's credit, the 7250 browses noticeably faster than the GPRS 7280).
