I just purchased my BlackBerry 8330 form Verizon and I love it. I downloaded some apps and it is now perfect. EXCEPT I went to the Curve page on BlackBerry's website and saw my silver Curve right next to a black one. I like the black better. Where can I purchase the black faceplate and battery door? I have looked at many of the standard stores and cant find the black...do they not have it yet?

The response I received from Horizon Wireless (about 4 hours after I sent it, and on Sunday):

"At this time it is not available. What I suggest is to just check our website regularly. It should be in in about 2 weeks time."

So I will just wait it out...I will post again if I hear anything else.

Faceplates on BB's aren't like faceplates on other cell phones. They're not really made for changing. You can change yours but you'll void your warranty in doing so. The Curve faceplates are not easy to get off, either. They're easy to break when removing.

I manage about 100 BBs and the users are pretty rough on them.

I purchase most of my repair parts from BlackBerry Repair Shop - A full line of RIM BlackBerry repair services and BlackBerry parts for all BlackBerry handheld devices

As mentioned above, they are easily damaged when replacing, but is is doable if you are careful.

they don't have one yet, but you can come back and check when they do. the 8330 is offered in black and silver from sprint and verizon prospectively, so it should be out in a matter of no time.

this place is expensive they charge you 44.99 for lens that you can buy at the canada site for 4.99... yikes

Hi, this is my second post. I have a Verizon 8330 Curve and love it! Just wondering if the black faceplate is the same as the titanium faceplates Ive seen. I would really like to change out my silver to titanium, but all Ive found are for the 8300, 8310, and 8320. If I read right, Horizon should have them available in a couple of weeks? Also, do they always come branded with a carrier logo? I just wouldnt feel right with an AT&T logo showing on my Verizon.

You won't get an AT&T branded one because AT&T doesn't offer the 8330. Only CDMA carriers...Sprint, Verizon, etc. Most faceplates are branded.
