I realize that many people have tried this, and I'm in an environment where I can't afford another server just for BES. We have always run the older edition on our exchange server and I'm interested to know if anyone has managed to get this to work.
Currently I have a Server 2003 R2 SP2, with Exchange 2003.
Running on it is my BES 5.0.2
issue:
because IIS is serving webpages, it causes a conflict with the blackberry administration service. They both want to be the server's website host.
Currently the BBAS service will increase until the server is out of memory, so I've just disabled the service. Bes is working and serving email and the like, but I can't actually administer it with the new website based Administration service.
*edit* Changing the default port on the BBAS didn't work either. It did however get rid javascript error.*/edit*
I might be having the same problem. I can't login to bas so I can't add users. Posted awhile ago getting no help. Would move bas to other server but don't have the option. I need to add users or I'm dropping blackberry devices altogether. I love the corporate level control on the devices, but if I can't add anyone the whole thing is useless. would love some insight or help. I'm thinking this whole forum thing is for show, because no-one seems to have any clue how this works.

LOL
D34d10ck, there are over 18K threads and over 100K posts in this Admin corner alone. You think too much of us if you think we all get together and add to a forum for show.
I installed BAS on another server, but it literally just links me to the ip of the original server.
ie: h t t p://oldbasserver. domain. local:663
h t t p://newbasserver. domain. local:663 doesn't work at all.
The new bas is on a backup DC.
What good is even installing it if it's just working as a shortcut? Also, to remove BAS on the original server i'd have to reinstall the whole thing, since I get an error when re-doing setup and unchecking the BAS won't work. it says it's required.
