Actually, I feel that UMA has been much more stable on .69
I had a 90 minute call with no issues yesterday. Very surprising, in fact.

It's been quiet lately with .69, it almost seems like this release is stable enough to not cause problems. What's everyone's latest opinion after having used it for awhile? Random reboots? Dropped calls? Strange voicemail problems?
Dump your brain, some of us are still hanging on to 4.2.2.184 waiting for y'all early adopters to suss out the 4.5 beta releases for us. It seems like .69 might as well be a production release, no?

.69 is good stuff. I've had one reboot during a phone call.
IMO, its as stable as 4.2.2.184. Its very snappy, too. Good working OS. I would expect to see Tmo/ATT release this version. No idea when, though.

I've had one reboot on .69, and I also had some weird bluetooth issue where it acted like TMO 4.2.2.180. When my headset was paired, it would make the call fail. After I did a battery pull, it seemed fine though and I haven't had that problem sicne. The reboot was a bit weird though. I had just finished a call on my bluetooth headset and then next thing I know my phone was rebooting. That has only happened once. All in all, it seems ok. UMA works fine, but I still have memory leaking issues.

I have been running .69 for a couple of weeks now and love it! It is very stable and quick. I haven't had any of the reboot problems others have reported.
This is definitely a better OS than 4.2.x.xxx. I would highly recommend it.

.69 has been very solid. I feel that it has the best memory management thus far, as I can't really appreciate any memory loss (I do not run any 3rd party apps - yet)
It is very responsive, while call volume/clarity is a handset issue for me. I had bluetooth issues with my Jabra 250v, but I saw a recommendation to use the Motorockr S9, and the quality and range are much improved (don't know if that can be attributed to .69)
UMA is more solid as well, and battery life seems to be consistent also.
I give .69 a "9"

There's only one bug that I know of, and it has been present through the whole 4.5 series. It may have been present in 4.2 as well, but I don't remember. This (minor) bug is: If you start from a media file, such as a photo, and select "Send as email" and then choose the recipient, the OS doesn't remember which email address (assuming you have several) goes with that recipient. If, on the other hand, you start from the regular Compose Email operation, the OS remembers which email address was last used for that recipient. I'm pretty sure that in 4.2, the association was preserved whichever way you created the email+attachment. But I could be mistaken. It's a very minor bug, but still should be fixed.

I have noticed that bug. Not a big deal but you do have to remember to switch it when you send emails that way.
However, overall, I still believe this is the best 8320 OS to date.

You have the same .69. Sounds like you have an issue with your router/isp.

Still rebooting with .69
Well for a week it seemed better then all of a sudden over the past 2 days it rebooted 3 times during calls.
I have 2 T-Mobile routers; 1 Linksys + 1 D-Link. Set the Linksys to channel 3 (thinking maybe the 8320 was trying to change over and dropping) and had 2 reboots.
Tried turning off Mobile network + bluetooth but still had 1 reboot
Anyone else with the reboot problem? Annoying at best. Oh... I'm on BES.

Reboots have been attributed to the media card. Have you tried it without the media card inserted?

Does a raw format of the card from within the phone OS fix/deter this issue?
Around 3 weeks ago I launched Mobipocket Reader (on 4.2.2.184) and it locked up the device; upon reboot the 8320 could no longer access my memory card - but an external card reader had no problem. I copied my data off, reformatted the card in the phone and copied the data back - no problems since. It was a real odd one... (I had also been testing BBNotePad and SignalLoc at the same time, both which access the card)

Sometimes this, alone, fixes it. Other times there is a file or two on the card that just cause problems. Some have said that removing a certain video file or picture file will do it. But it takes backing up the files, reformatting the card and then moving the files back one folder at a time. It usually only needs to be done with the first 4.5 upgrade. After that, all seems to be fine.

*nod* I follow. It might be interesting for a person to start with just deleting all the 'BBThumbs.dat' type cache files on the disk, I've had to do that before. I just did that this last time mentioned above as well as deleting all the MobiPocket index cache files - experience has shown me when anything like Outlook, Thunderbird, etc. start going nuts it's always their cache files that need whacked. Outlook in particular has a serious problem with proper meeting use (talking Exchange here) if the local cache files become corrupt.

In my sticky thread about this I state to just move the actual files back and NOT move back the .dat files.

Is the beta version 4.5.0.69 multilanguage available out in the wild? I have the English version but I need the multilanguage and was wondering if it is out there.

You won't find beta releases here, but if you look around I am sure it will turn up.

So far loving this beta.. however, been noticing a significant memory leak. I did a battery pull late last night and was able to get about 20+ bytes. Today (right now) I have 15821526 with not much use. I am running a few 3rd party apps. (bb alerts, BB shortcuts and alarm, jivetalk and BB weather) which I assume is the culprit.
This has been driving me nuts!
