Default Data Connection Refused message

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 7730 which I am only using for texts and the odd call as well as an organiser, I will not be using for email services or whatever. How can I get rid of the Data Connection Refused message that is constantly on the screen. It's not so much a problem as somewhat irritating. Thanks, Alyn.

The newer versions of OS have an option in Network to turn off data services. It will continue to show refused until you yurn off the radio and turn it back on again.

Thanks very much for your reply. I don't have that option under Network, so I must have an older version. Can I upgrade?

Yes - see thread #1871 (it's a Sticky Thread FAQ and well worth reading) in the General BlackBerry Discussion Forum.

Is there another way? I have no network options (Cingular) to change and popping the batery out several times a day stinks.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I said ***** ***.
Not unusual for my crowd, but noted.
