Default Blackberry Thumb Check-in

Please Login to Remove!

I know, I know this has been discussed numerous times but I thought it would be cool to see if anyone else has experienced any. I use my BB about 8 hours a day because I am always away from my desk and I have noticed a slight tightness between my thumb and index finger. Share your stories, anyone else had any problems? Anyone else use their Blackberries excessively

I'm part of the nintendo generation so luckily my thumbs are pretty strong.

When I was a kid I remember getting blisters on my thumbs from mashing buttons so much in any given day.

Well, I think blackberry thumb is one thing but the next problem area will be with blackberry owners necks - from what I call blackberry 'stoop'. Have you noticed when people check or read messages on their berry they hold the device down and close to the body with their heads bent downward?

Now that you mention it... never noticed it before.

My thumbs have plenty of calluses from Nintendo and XBox but I am on my way to more pain with the BB!

I've used Blackberries for about 2 years now without any problems but it's difficult to actually gauge how much I'm really using it. I'm subscribed to an active mailing list that averages about 250 messages per day and I do post to it on a daily bassis. Never experienced Blackberry thumb.

Luckily my eyes are not what they use to be so I'm putting in for longer arms or a magnifier for my screen...

My right thumb hurts if I use it for several hours at a time. I also noticed that my right thumb is no longer straight when I bend it. The joint is skewed to the left The left thumb has suffered no ill effects whatsoever. I watched myself typing e-mail and I realized that the left thumb does not move nearly as much as the right.

My wrists and left elbow start to hurt if I'm playing Circle Popper for more than an hour straight.......but not the thumbs.

Default 8700

I was in the original Nintendo generation and I have been a berry user since the 950. My thumbs were already used to a workout. I did however, notice some pain when I moved from the 7290 to the 8700. The wheel is slightly lower and requires me to bend my thumb down more. I have gotten used to it now though.
