Both in yahoo mail and gmail, I cannot open the attatchments while in the internet browser. In the e-mails it shows the paperclip with attatchments beside it. I click on attatchments and it opens to show each attatchment but I cannot click on them.

Any advise?

have those email accounts push to the BB inbox, then you will not have to use the browser and you will get your emails as they come and not when you decide to check. I am almost certain there is no way to open the attachment in the browser.

Thanks for your help. I thought it might be a Cingular thing. I can get the gmail to forward, but I do not pay for yahoo to forward. That is my main dillima.

i think you can set up your yahoo on BIS. I know i can with nextel.

BIS 2.0 has a functionality to allow integration with Yahoo without their premium pop service. Since Cingular is still 1.8 that functionality is not there.

Thank you all. I did try in BIS to use Yahoo, but no luck. I will have to wait for Cingular to get with the program. (2.0)

Out of curiosity, what kind of attachments are these? I know that Gmail will not allow you to do mp3 attachments from a mobile device...but pictures do work.

Now, this brings up a potential hiccup with the BIS idea. If it's a wav or mp3 attachment, still won't go through BIS. But pictures will

You have to change the browser emulation to IE or Netscape. When I try to get an attachment in my GMAIL account with the BB emulator, I had the same problem. I switched it to IE emulation and was able to download the attachment. One condition is that it must be a compatible file or else the BB won't recognize it. Just open the browser, click the thumbwheel, select options, then browser configuration, and change emulation mode to IE. That should work.
