Default 7100g "no service"

Please Login to Remove!

hey i have this blackberry 7100g but the problem with it is that i m not getting any network on. this started happening after i changed a theme.

i know its not a problem with my sim or my network provider coz wen i put the sim in another phone it gets full network at the same place.

I ve serached all over the internet and many ppl have this problem but just cant find a solution.
Ive tried updating the software, refreshing the whole data thing but it still doesnt work.

It does get network in b/w for like 2 mins and then its gone again for the whole day.

I really need help man.
thanks

Welcome to the BBF.

Where did you find the many people who have this problem? Could you change back to the other theme, do you notice a difference?

Have you exhausted all these remedies:
How do I reset my BlackBerry? - BlackBerryFAQ
My Email Stopped Arriving - BlackBerryFAQ
Internet Browser FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ

Good luck!

Is this a new BlackBerry or did you get it from eBay?

That's the clue. Is this an aftermarket/third-party theme?

Those posts are 1-2 years old at the AT&T site.

Since you say you don't have internet on your BB at the moment, how can you test it?

Ahhh, my bad. I saw that post the other day, forgot, skipped it this time. No blackberry data plan, then.

If by 'network' he means EDGE, well there you go.

akhil, so you can send and receive calls?

That is the best you can hope for without a Data Plan.

Phone use is all you will have.

I read those posts, they are quite old.

Here is your best solution, try reloading the OS on the BB...

Just trying to offer suggestions. Since you hadn't stated you had reloaded the OS, I would suggest it. Since you have, and it still doesn't work, then we are back to needing a data plan on your account for you to have internet.

To update/ reload the os on your phone you may want to consider Blackberry desktop manager.

Thank you, Desktop Manager is required to load an OS... the link I gave him is fairly clear about that.

Default There's something going on . . . .

There's something going on . . . .

There has to be. All of these phones just do not stop working, or say No Service, or need to be reloaded, or battery pulled and pushed and pulled again. I'm using a Blackberry 7280 which I paid to get unlocked to use AT&T Blue, even though I'm a former Cingular customer. Wasn't happy. But I did it.

I really don't want to do it again, though.

My SIM works in other phones, but no other SIMs work in my Blackberry.

Can we get a Blackberry Rep to address this?
