Please Login to Remove!

Hello,
I have just bought my first Blackberry 8800.
Can someone please assist me.
I want to try and get WAP working so I can use the full features.
My provider is Orange UK

I can successfully receive emails and send, but I cannot use the Orange World Web Browser. I want to try another but done know where I can get or download and install one from. Can someone help about this?

Also when I try to use the WAP browser this is what I get:

Unable to connect to the WAP Gateway at the following address:
APN: orangewap
IP: 192.168.71.135
Port: 9203

Can someone please advise. I have been on hold for 40 minutes.

I have never used Orange and am not in the same country.

Try this:

Go into Options / Advanced / TCP

APN: orangewap
Username for APN: Orange
Password: Multimedia

Save that and see if it works.

It sets the WAP APN entries. Did you try your WAP browser again?

Verify that you're provisioned properly for WAP with your carrier's data support group. Improper provisioning or missing service books are pretty common issues.

Well, I can get access for my emails. The emails work fine. One question I do have about emails actually, is how often are they checked by blackberry and sent to my phone? I just need to know so one of my other systems which checks and removes them from my server shouldnt interfere much.

Isnt that weird that I can use the email service but not Browser? Im using Orange Browser.. does anyone know any other browser I can download and test? I want to try another.

Why don't you contact Orange direct. If it is a problem with WAP settings then surely they will be able to help.

Okay, can someone please advise.
I was having problems with other things that use the BES? I dont understand the whole terminology, but what kind of connection does the browser use by default? GPRS? Well, I washaving problems using IM and RDM+ on it, until I set up a APN for : orangeinternet and it worked for TCP access, but the browser still doesnt work.

Is there a way to specify to use a TCP connection. I have used the guide in the other post, but its not working. I really want ot know and have asked multiple times, are there other browsers I can use? And not just the default one?

Thanks

I get the error message in the browser, saying the the APN the browser tried to use is : orangewap

Why is it saying that? I havent entered that at all.
