Where in this version, which it DID have in ver 4.2, that you can minimize the application such that it runs in the background and stays hidden on the taskbar, or whatever it is called at the bottom of the Windows screen?

I have been using v4.3 for a couple of weeks now, and haven't been able to locate that feature.

I don't know why it was removed, or hidden. I liked the feature.

Maybe some more senior forumites know more....

I was thinking the same thing. It is a PITA that is does NOT hide when minimized!

I end up shutting it down and having to load it again when synching...

I agree. This is my only gripe with the new desktop manager.
All of our users at work also hate this feature being removed

So why not go back to 4.2 SP2 or 4.2 SP1, if those versions had that feature?

It's not my only gripe. DM4.3 has been full of bugs since I first installed it.

Yep. I get that too. It's never done it during an OS load but occasionally when I click on application loader I get the error. It doesn't sync with Outlook for me (option isn't even there.) It gave several errors during installation, as well (likely why Outlook sync isn't there.) I haven't downgraded back to 4.2 yet as it means reinstalling all my OS's along with editing .alx's again. I'm hoping they release an upgraded version soon.

I can't imagine a functional reason for removing this option. But, it also seems unlikely it would be done by accident without anyone noticing. And it isn't just a case of removing the option from the application. It is completely broken.

There is a registry key for this. I closed the application, set the below value to 1 (default was 0), and restarted DM. No luck.

Now I'm using a freeware app called TrayIt! Just installed it. But, it seems to be doing the trick.

I had the same outlook sync issues with my first install of DM4.3. The problem corrected when I un-installed it AND did a file search and deleted all RIM, Blackberry, and Intellisync folders taking care to relocate my own files. After the re-install, I have not had any issues. (Using Office 2003 and XP)
