Try this to begin with. Plug the BlackBerry into a wall charger and leave it for an hour. Then while still plugged into the charger, remove the battery for a moment and replace. It will probably boot up. If not, leave it another hour and try again.

I've read others who had to wait a number of hours of charging, but see what happens in your case.

If the battery will not take a charge, you'll need to try another battery. But also check to make sure the battery is making contact with the terminals on the device.

See what others say. In the meantime, check and make sure the battery is tight in the compartment and none of the terminals on the device are bent.

If the computer will see the BlackBerry and connect then you could try wiping with JL_CMDER and make another go at an OS install, but I don't know if it's a possible solution or not.

Don't thank me yet. It's a stab in the dark. I'm not even sure you'll be able to connect and wipe.

Anyway, see blackberryfaq.com and find the two articles on JL_CMDER. Give it a shot.

Don't know. Ther is another free app, BBSAK, that you may be able to use to wipe the device. Google and you'll find it. Same disclaimer: Even if you can install BBSAK I'm not even sure you'll be able to wipe, or that it will do you any good.

In the future, you may just trying undoing the update by installing the older version of whatever update you were getting. Glad it all worked out though.
