I had it for a while and then deleted it. I found it harder to use, and for me at least, it served no special purpose.

Cant get Opera mini to work. I downloaded the app and installed it. Then when I run it i keep getting an error saying failed to connect to the internet.

I dont have a data plan but I have the feature enabler turned on.

Is there any other setting that I have to play with to get this to work ?

Thanks alot! I could never figure out why I couldn't get the 8800 version to download instead of the generic high memory one. I'm not sure if it's any better, but it was the one I wanted and couldn't get because I have my bb internet browser set to IE emulation. I will still keep that normaly as I believe it is best overall, but for downloading BB specific software like Opera, it's the obvious answer that I missed all this time to change it to BB emulation.

Opera mini never worked on my Curve, even with this new beta. I only have BIS, my carrier does not allow any kind of direct TCP connection. They won't even provide an APN. I have tried using the APN they provide to the high speed CDMA plan, but it's no use. Opera does not support BIS, so there's nothing I can do.

I often wonder if Opera is indeed better than the Blackberry browser. I like the Blackberry browser. I don't get it why so many people complain about it. Sure it could be improved, but it's not that bad.

I haven't noticed that. The big thing with this version is synchronized bookmarks. But I haven't really checked it out, and I found at least one new bug.

This version scrolls smoother too I think.

I like Opera Mini. I use it for about half my phone browsing. It seems to load complex pages much faster than the default browser, since all the heavy rendering is done by Opera's servers instead of my little phone's overtaxed CPU.

All the 8300 series Blackberries run the high memory version just fine.

I've been using all the beta's one at a time as they've come out and they often are as fast if not faster than the native BB browser.

I am using the wifi w/no data plan on my BB8320...and the Wifi Browser is pretty fast....the opera mini browser seems pretty slow for me...looks prettier....but I also just figured out that you can use the "8 & 2" button to scroll the Whole page using the regular Wifi browser....so no need for Opera mini now....since you can view it whole page or mobile...and can scroll w/o using the trackwheel.... What other advantages did Opera have over the Wifi Browser???
