There are rules, but "rules" (keep reading) should not govern and dictate who you are as a person. Rules are there to enforce some commonality in a situation like community, business, ect,. The rules I was referring to were rules of life (which as we know we are not told but learn them through situations), not the rules within our lives (i.e. legal, political, etc,.)

Correct. Those would be known as "morals" or even one's own character. It's all semantics, but rules, guidelines, morals or principles do govern (or at least should govern) who a person is.
We are known by our actions and our deeds.

True that! You rlast comment is the problem I think, our actions are always seen before our deeds, especially in the world we live in which sucks. This unfortunetly is the way it is, and that I know.

I don't like to refer to it as common sense. I like to call it good sense, because it doesn't seem to be too common these days.

What good is it gonna do to try to weigh the negative things in a persons life with the positives? Out of decency and respect, throw the negative stuff out; what good will it do to play that game now?

I resented him when he was alive so why not resent him when hes dead. And excuse me sir but you did in fact ask what my legacy will be.

I have no respect for him or any other one in that family. So none will be given in death as none was given in life. The whole family is a disgrace to humanity.

Overcoming his demons, IMHO, includes coming clean about all that those demons caused... The only admission he ever made regarding the Mary Jo Kopechne incident was that he admitted leaving the scene of the accident.
As far as I am concerned, he did not overcome anything. He was directly responsible for that young lady's death, and literally got away with murder.

Actually no I do not consider myself a Christian. I am native American and I have many Gods.
Why must you throw insults at me so much you don't even know me. You must be one of the people test was talking about earlier that try to intimidate people.
Well you do not scare me nor do you impress me with your fancy words.

I don't think I had your respect anyway, nor did I ask for it. He was a murderer plain and simple. Its a fact that he killed this lady can you deny it? Can you prove otherwise?
Glad you can throw insults around as well. Sure is funny how you were the one talking about people being intimidated and its you insulting people.
you call me a troll just because I have a different opinion than you? Maybe you are the troll, ogre or what ever.

Test54 rarely gets through a thread without taking it personal, to attack the member.
I thought this thread was about Edward Kennedy, not the members here.

you actually think I was the only one to make this thread personal?
really? not you but others made it very personal.
but come on, comparing Ted Kennedy to Jeffrey Daumer is troll material. he is just looking for reactions = troll. I mean I don't like a lot of people but comparing anyone to a serial killing cannibal is just stupid.

No, you were one of three that made personal attacks on another user here. I don't consider being called a Christian an attack, but djm2 obviously intended it in a derogatory manner.

Excuse me I am not a he as has been pointed out already once in this thread. I am not looking for any reaction was just voicing my opinion as a free American has the right to do. Who has made it personal? I have only defended myself against the attacks of several here.

Well actually you don't have the 'right' here, in a privately owned (not even US-owned) forum.
Our freedom of speech does not apply across the world. While this forum is very tolerant of many opinions, the owner and his agents do the ability and "right" to deny your freedom of speech in many ways, according to the user agreement you signed upon joining.
Not that I am advocating anyone in this thread being denied that... but it's just a fact.
