I own a website totally unrelated to smart phones and even I have an automatic smart phone detection that routes users to the mobile site. I EXPECTED this site to have an even better version but imagine my surprise when the same ad intensive site popped up on my Storm.

Shame on you.

There are many users who DO want to the use the full site, even from their smartphone.

So, we give the user the choice. I think you'll like the WAP site much better.

Does your non-related smartphone site have a choice of uber-cool forum shortcut launcher icons?

If it were to redirect to the WAP site, we'd have users coming here complaining that they can't get to the full site version. You can't make everyone happy, so giving the choice is a good way to meet everyone's needs.

Should this be moved to the Site Suggestions forum?
