Need Help here.

I am currently abroad from my country, as so i put prompt at my data service (So my network provider do not charge me oversea rate for my data usage).

As i turn on the wifi and connected to the local wifi network, it seems that my facebook, BBM, whatsApp is not working. The only thing that works here is the internet browser. Could anyone help me here......

Current BB model is curve.

Is the Wifi indicator icon (top right of screen) lit up or grey? If it is grey, you are not connected to BIS/BES. BBM, MSN, YM for instance need BIS/BES to operate. To get the indicator to light up can be a pain depending on the router you are connected to. Try to get onto your home router and make sure port 443 is open as that is needed to get the wifi light switched on.
