I'm not able to even log on to BIS! I'm attempting to change devices right now and the website is not accepting my BIS credentials!

Slight frustrating . . . .

SoCal VZW...no email since several hours ago (like 2:00 or so PM PST). Was unable to send service books at first try around 4:30, but did get a reply from the Activation Server at 5:20 PM.

Still no mail, however...just glad it wasn't just me!

I've only had a BB since Friday, and there have already been two problems w/BIS.

I hope this isn't normal? Isn't the BB email service generally rock solid?

There's usually one or two small outages a year. Just relax and wait a few hours and it'll be back online. Take a vacation from e-mail for a few.

Default Email All Down

I am on Tmobile in PA and all my email services are down. I IMAP into my company server. None of Blackberry's servers have logged in for hours. In fact, the Tmobile.com website appears to be totally offline. What the heck is happening!

Default Blackberry

Can anybody clarify how Blackberry systems are arranged. Does each carrier (Tmobile, ATT, Verizon, etc..) host a blackberry server of their own?

Are these the systems that do the IMAP or are these just the carriers Blackberry handed systems to allow customers a method of creating and deleting blackberry or IMAP/POP accounts. I assume they talk back to a more centralized blackberry cluster in Canada.

T-Mobile's internal systems are down due to the storms. No ETA for a fix, but I doubt it will be down by tomorrow.

I dont know if RIMs outage is also weather related, but it sems likely.

Default Sprint in Arizona out too

Just figured I would chime in and confirm that Sprint in Arizona has been down since 4pm local time.

I called Sprint and they told me they estimated 4 hours of downtime. They confirmed the downtime was at RIM and not at Sprint themselves.

Has anyone deleted then re-added the BIS account? Curious to know if that would work at all...

There is nothing you can do; the issue apparently is at RIMs level.

You will have to wait until the BIS services come back up. Keep track of this thread of updates....or subscribe to Bb-Outage Info Page
