When I import contacts from Outlook 2007 to my 8820, the fax fields show up fine, however when I try to create a new contact on the BB there's no fax field! I was recently on a BES and I found out that the standard "clean policy" people are using doesn't clean everything (like the firewall).

I'm searched around and it seems like I'm not alone but so far no ideas on how to resolve it, anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

There is a fax field when I add a new contact on my 8820.

On my 8320 it is right between the Pager and Other fields.

Hmm, on mine it goes like the following:

Home 2:
Mobile:
Pager:
Other:
PIN:
Google Talk:
Yahoo:
Work Address
Address 1 (etc.)

It strikes me that Google Talk and Yahoo fields might be there because my provider (Rogers) pushes those apps as part of their standard service book offering. Could Rogers be overriding the settings in my address book as well?

That is interesting, first I have heard of Yahoo and GTalk having a field in the Address Book. Could be a Rogers thingy.

Last week someone was in the forum here complaining that he could not rid his BB of the Fax field. He didn't want it there. Maybe you two should trade BlackBerrys!

Well, there are lots of fields that I don't use for my contacts, but that doesn't mean I would want to get rid of them! ;)

New blank BES policy and a wipe coming tomorrow, I'll report back if that changes anything.
