Default Upgraded stock OS to .247, now having issues. HELP

Please Login to Remove!

I was receiving the "uncaught exception: system is restarting" errors quite often on the stock OS that came out of the box from the AT&T store. I since upgraded to the latest .247 OS and while I'm getting much better application memory, the battery life is downright terrible. I even have the extended Li-ion battery and yesterday I woke up at 9:30 am, and by 3pm, my battery had 10%. This is downright ridiculous. What official AT&T versions exist? Are these stable? I just want a stable application memory and normal battery life again, after that I've come to the conclusion I just don't have the time or effort to test builds anymore until AT&T releases their next official one.

Thanks everyone!

It looks like .167 is the only official AT&T release, which would mean going back to a memory leaked application memory and uncaught exception errors, correct?

Can anyone suggest what the most rock solid build is for battery life, application memory, and if possible, correct home screen words (not all squished together).

After reading the .216 thread, it looks like this is going to be the best version. Thanks for putting me in the right direction. I wish AT&T would release a more stable version with the visual VM already.

So I just got a fatal error when trying to update the software. Now my blackberry is a white screen that says "reload software: 561"

Closed everything down, unplugged it all, and am starting again......

You may have to upgrade it using Loader.exe in the BB Program Files folder. Desktop Manager may not recognize it.

I just did that, wiped everything and did a fresh install. It's up and running once again, bare bones. Can I go ahead and load back in my previously backed up info and 3rd party programs using desktop mgr now?

Ok, seems everything is back up and running. I must admit, that was scary, lol. I've been upgrading blackberry's for years now, never once had a problem, then today, BRICK. This forum has always been a wealth of very helpful information since the day I joined 3 years ago. It truly is the #1 source for information regarding blackberry's on the internet.
