Default Why?

Please Login to Remove!

Why hasn't anyone updated this?

The newest version is as follows:

BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0.0.230 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 5.0.0.355
Consisting of:

* Applications: 5.0.0.230
* Software Platform: 3.5.0.30
* File name: 8330AMEA_PBr5.0.0_rel355_PL3.5.0.30_A5.0.0.230.exe
* File size: 103.16MB

Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

* Download Software: Nathanix Blackberry Resource (Google It)

You have the option of simply installing version 5.0.0.230 OR using the Hybrid Package which is much more stable and faster. Either way READ and follow the installation instructions!

Enjoy

Question Just received email from Blackberry.com notifying of update to 4.5.0.175

Installed effortlessly on my VZW 8330M. So what's the big improvement? Any new features with this OS version? I don't see anything at first glance.

It's more or less an update for bug fixes.

I must say this OS is very snappy. I have the same amount of file free but it's just quicker.

Best 4.5 version available in my opinion to date! (Coming from 4.5.0.160)

Was running .77 on my VZW, no problems at all. Upgraded to this at Verizons request and now I have a "birds nest" on my phone! The chirping is unbearable, talked to VZW rep, they are sending a replacement phone. We'll see if this one has .175 and the chirp. Maybe it's time to try the Droid, was trying to wait for the 2.1

Glad to see this thread stickied again. (I was going to recommend this myself) The Official OS 5.0 is horrible..

Why are you bumping this?

This isn't the most recent OS available for the 8330.

I don't agree with the bunch but can we really consider that last OS 5.0 from boost mobile a solid OS for the device?
