Default I want a new Blackberry! Argh.

Please Login to Remove!

I have been on T-Mobile for the past 6 years and love their price plans and customer service, however frustrated with their lackluster phone lineup.

I have had the 8900, 8520 and 9700 (for the past year). I want something new and refuse to go Android or iPhone. I tried both but not my cup of tea.

However, if the iPhone went to T-Mobile, then I'll switch from the BB OS.

In the mean time, can T-Mobile get a BB like the Torch?!!

You can use the ATT Torch on Tmoble, you just won't get 3G service.

I tried it. I couldnt get the service books from OS6 to play well with T-MO.

I don't think you're going to find anything better than the 9700. Until the refresh it to take OS 6 the 9700 and the 9650 will remain king of the hill, IMHO. I do understand the urge to try something new. I just had a little 3 1/2 week flirtation with Android on a Samsung Epic 4G. I came back to my BB 9650 and can confirm "there's no place like home". But I'd love a touchscreen BlackBerry on Sprint so I understand your frustration with T-Mobile's lineup. Both TMO and Sprint have let their BlackBerry offerings get a bit stale.

Because my 9650 works so darn well for me I feel like I can wait a while and see what shakes out.

As for Android, it was a fun OS with lots of multimedia potential. As for productivity, it just can't compare to BlackBerry.

Well put. Throughout the year, while keeping my trusty 9700, I've tried the iPhone 4, Samsung Vibrant, Nexus One and the BB 9550. The iPhones and Androids are definitely fun and carry a lot of wow factor. I did like the Storm2, but without 3G, it was very hard to fully enjoy the whole experience.

As you said, each time I tried a new phone, it was home sweet home to my trusty and purely productive 9700.

Can't wait for the Torch to come to T-Mo. I had fun with the display while I flirted with the unlocked version of the Torch.

Im not un-happy with the Bold, it truly is my soul mate - but I guess I'm in need of a quick affair with something different.

Before buying from eBay or anywhere else but a carrier store, check out this: Buying a BlackBerry off eBay - BlackBerryFAQ
Even if you're not using eBay, the principles still apply.

The 9700 is the top of the line right now. Best to check one out in person and get a feel for it. Some folks prefer a different style keyboard like that on the Curve-series. Strictly a subjective choice, but an important one.

haroula_n, rambo47 and most people on the Forum have seen many problems with Ebay purchases. Not all but enough to be very cautious

The 9700 is the track pad and its a great choice. As rambo stated, check out the keyboard layouts on the 9700 and the 9300. I prefer the 9700, however I wish it had the 9300 keyboard. It's all preference, so its a good idea to actually play with both to get a feel for it.
