Unhappy Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation

Please Login to Remove!

Hi
This would seem to be a common problem and have tried everything that I know of, it always reverts back to hour glass n red light, have tried JL cmder wipe wont stay connected long enough, have done the power thing in usb properties still the same, have left in charger over night but again the lights on the charger flash connected then off again so no idea if charging battery or not. question is, is there any other prog that can fully wipe the backberry, this is me on the 7th day of trying to reserect this from the dead, would using one of those cradle things make any difference? and would like to hear from anyone else who is having same problem and if they managed to bring theirs back from the dead. It is 8800 no water damage stickers are white.

Have you tried a different USB port on the computer? Sounds like you aren't getting the proper voltage through the port.

Hi
I have 4 usbs in the back 2 in the front, have tried them all, it says usb root hub, the hub is self powered total power available 500mA per port. I have seen numerious suggestions about this being a power issue but no one seems to come up with how to rectify it. I have tried every combination of DMs and Os still all end up the same when it comes to waiting on device intialisation thats it back on the never ending loop. so how do I get more power to my usbs if thats the problem????

Have you tried using apploader to catch it in the reboot loop? open apploader, remove the battery from the BB, then as soon as apploader detects it, click next. Then don't forget to put the battery back in.

Did you try dskkid's suggestion? You said you tried everything, but need to ask just to be sure.

If you did, then advise you try a few more times. Timing may be a factor, and you may not catch it at the right time the first few attempts.

I hate to say it, because I'm not sure, but if were me I'd say time for a new blackberry. Sorry. Hope someone knows better. Sounds like you've done all that can be done.

yes would look like it, as there is no answer to the "Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation " syndrome

Exclamation

i dont know if this helps... but still...
With a 8700g i tried to upgrade the OS and landed up the with the similar problem of "Unable to connect to the device during a Multistage Load operation". To cut the long story short, What i observed was that
  • When i disconnect it from the DM, pull out the battery and put it back, my device shows a symbol with a code 507 (error code probably)
  • during the step: reconnecting to the JVM, the Apploader retries for a n number of times, before it gives the above error message.
out of curiosity i pulled the USB cable out of the device (during the reconnection to the JVM step and still when the retries are going on) and plugged the USB cable back to the device as my device was showing the 507 error symbol.
And thatz it, the rest of the steps went thro' like a whistle and my blackberry came to life.

THIS WORKS! Just did it on a Tour with the new os-9630-4-7-1-117-4-7-1-61-multilanguage upgrade. I tried 8 times to get it work and kept getting the icons/"reload software: 507" error on the bb along with the "Unable to connect to the device during a multitage load operation" when running apploader.exe (NOT DM). I disconnected the usb cable from the bb like it says to do above - I think I pulled it a bit later, but it worked! Everything is back, and it even ran my Enterprise Activation automatically without a pswd prompt.
