SMS Error (Unidentified Subscriber)

Just a few days ago I bought an 8800 locked to Rogers. With my Rogers SIM it worked fine, text messaging an all. I ordered an unlock code, entered it, all successfully. Got a new Fido SIM, had my number ported, again all successfully. Now all incoming and outgoing calls seem to work, but text messaging does not. When someone sends me a text message I receive nothing, and when I attempt to send one I receive the error: Unidentified Subscriber. I called Fido to no avail, as soon as they heard a was on a Blackberry they were no help to me whatsoever. I am not sure if this is because the number was just ported a few hours ago (the rep. said it would take a few days after all), or because it is a mistake on Fido's end. Any ideas??
