All Sprint Nextel stores were shipped only 2 units for launch Oct. 1. ><

I checked how many where in the field today and there was something like 2500 in retail stores, with each store only recieveing 2 units.

If your store is already sold out, sweet talk the Store Manager to get one from another store nearby. It is a pain to reach out to the others stores for inventory but it can be done.

You will probably get one faster from the web site anyways.

My Sprint rep placed an order for 4 of them on Monday...I received a confirmation email from him that they will be at the office tomorrow. I want to test a couple of them before buying more for my employees. I'm sure from what I have heard it will be much better than expected...and I can't wait to dump my brick of a BB7520!

I placed my order over the phone on Sunday and contacted Sprint Customer Service to get my tracking number. I should be receiving my phone via UPS Two-Day Air to Hawaii on Friday as well as get my port over from Verizon Wireless completed.

Walked out at 19:15 with activated 8703e, my first BB.
Was cross shopping Palm 700p.

Much to learn. Now on 1x network, can connect but not hold
voice a call longer than 20 sec, Sprint signal this past week has been
horrible, same experience as with my Sanyo, so it's not
a BB issue.

Picked mine up on Sunday for 349.00 I was able to talk the sprint rep into giving me the blackberry service for 24.99 after I complained that I had a 6700, hated it so much, and threatened to move elsewhere. I had to call around to several sprint stores before I found it.

Yes software for the 8700 series should work for the 8703 head over ti the 2 software forums and get started I have only loaded a cople of games and Yahoo, but to get yahoo to work I had to use the workaround that has been posted here.....Congrats on the new BB I am loving mine so far...

ordered mine on 10-2, Had mine the next day (3rd) and it's been rocking since. I also have the verizon 8703e , and i can say that the speed on the verizon's 3g is a bit faster than the one on sprint, and i dont even have much installed or stored on that one. Otherwise, both phones have identical quality, and traits, and oh, one big difference, the Back lights and lcd colors are a bit different (my verizon bb has more blue hue than anything, but nothing really crazy. )

I want one sooooo bad man but the dude at the Sprint store told me they had the 8703e I was ike ok let's switch. Then he told me i couldnt because i had just upgraded in march to the tired 7100i on Nextel. He told me I would have to pay full price for the 8703e I was like no sir lol. i Guess i will wait till june 2007 when my contract is up on nextel then upgrade who knows by then it might be a better BB out on sprint we will wait in see.

are you nextel or nextel partners? i was with partners cause i'm in kentucky and i got the .99 cent deal. are you sure you're with the real nextel?

You might be able to levrage that to get that 8703e at a discount. I have one right now though and I hate the CDMA service, but the EVDO and device is nice.
