Default What is YOUR Reason for upgrading to 8800?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I am curious to know what feature is the main reason for your upgrade?

I have a 8700, had a 7290, now thinking of 8800 cause its the "new funk".

but how different/better will it be?

Yes what he said.

Like the Pearl features, HATE the keyboard. Give me QWERTY with the Pearl features, give me the 8800!

I am wayyy overdue for a new phone. I currently have a Samsung flip phone, and I was waiting for the Pearl when it was a concept, and found out that the 8800 was coming and had full QWERTY. I played with a Treo over the Christmas holidays and thought it was cool. I do text alot and check my email religiously. I also am on the computer alot surfing the web. On top of that, I talk on the phone alot too.

I know the 8800 is for me. I just need to be patient and wait for it!

I need to see it before I leave my 8700c. Can't base my decision on the posts and specs we have seen so far. Sounds nice, bt does it work as advertised. My bet is it does, but .................

Even though the 8800 isnt gonna have a camera, im willing to trade it off for the integrated GPS. I also rely on directions while working and ever since i bought the pearl, i havent used the old conventional maps " atlas ". So, having GPS will be better for me no doubt.

P.S. I like suretype but wouldn't mind getting FULL QWERTY, hehe.

He could be waiting for the 8800 Crimson, which if I understand correctly will have a camera.

As for me, microSD is a big draw. WiFi is also key; I'm a college student and will thus get a strong wifi signal virtually anywhere I go on campus.
