I was under the impression the files will show grayed out until accessed by the BB remotely. Again this may be just another bug. I have had zero luck making it work.

The location I tried it in was a restaurant, not the best place for a test. I try it in a private residence next.

Ah! After all the above correspondence, I believe I have figured out why I have been unable to make Remote File Access work. The instructions in BB Link are poorly written. When the BB writers of the instruction bragged about accessing remote files from a meeting, I assumed it would be a meeting outside the range of the BB router and the files could be remotely accessed through the internet. i.e. a meeting away from the office - in a remote location. I believe what BB meant was accessing pc files on a pc that is on the same wifi as the BB device, in the same building. I have never had any problem with that, at all. Knowing that, their instructions work. The only thing they don't say is that you have to open either BB Link or BB Blend at least once to activate remote access to the pc.

Blackberry also bragged about having intelligent upper management.
