Default Google Calendar sync with BIS Calendar on OS4.5

Please Login to Remove!

I've done a ton of searching on this forum, as well as google's support groups and can't seem to find an answer to my scenario.

I'm currently running OS4.5 on an 8100 using a BES account (work). Since upgrading to 4.5 I see that there are now multiple calendars supported (1 per BIS account).

I'd like to be able to sync my personal google calendar with the BIS calendar on my Blackberry using Google Sync (or anything else, provided that it is free, or relatively inexpensive)

Presently, when I run Google Sync on the BB, it syncs Google Calendar events with the BES calendar, which then wirelessly syncs back to my exchange account.

The objective here is to keep work (BES/exchange/outlook) and personal (BIS/gcal) calendars totally separate.

In Google Sync I only see options to select the Google Calendars to sync, but not the ability to select the Blackberry Calendar I want to use for sync.

Am I out of luck, or do I have to wait for Google to (hopefully) update Google Sync to include this option?

Thanks.

I did make some progress, by selecting my BIS calendar as the default CICAL service in Options->Default Services, Google Sync now appears to write events to the BIS calendar.

However it doesn't appear that events created on the Blackberry BIS calendar are being recognized by Google Sync and syncing back to the Google Calendar (although they do appear to be created in the correct calendar on the blackberry)

For what it's worth, it seems as if google sync's multiple-calendar syncing ability is lost after the upgrade to OS 4.5. Google calendar now supports ical syncing. Although I haven't tried it yet, I'm going to try to use this to sync to outlook, and then outlook to my blackberry via the desktop manager. Other options to try are calgoo, oggsync, gcaldaemon, syncmycal, and goosync

sorry, on a closer look it might be an issue with verizon/8130/8330 with OS 4.5.0.56

there is a google group discussion devoted to this: Google Sync only syncing "Default Calendar"
sorry, i can't post the link because I haven't placed 10 posts yet

It appears that newly released Google Sync version 0.4.6 allows you to select all of your Google calendars for sync:

Thanks again, everyone, for your patience as we worked to resolve this
issue.

As has already been noted in this thread, version 0.4.6 should take
care of the 'Default calendar' problem. Simply go to m.google.com/sync
to download this latest version, run a sync, and you should see your
calendars appear.
