Another thing to consider is the ability to use your phone internationally. Travel to Asia and Europe is pretty frequent for me, so a GSM phone works better in my particular situation. CDMA is not widely supported in these areas.

Wow. Seriously Nick. You're a creep.

Why in the world would you go around asking people for information on someone?

In fairness, that's not what he said. He solicited for people to PM him if anyone wanted to find out about BG.

I've got a good idea who this person is, and wanted to confirm. I PMed Nick, never heard back.

thanks for your feedback.

small corretion, its $10/month more or $120/year more for the data plans i'd be using.

i'm in manhattan and cingular has great coverage except in my apt on the 32nd floor. people who come over and have verizon have excellent reception. i do have a landline so, its not too big a deal.

i guess, i'd be willing to wait until friday for the 8703 because i'm sure the 8703 will be an improvement on the 8700c but for me it doesn't seem like its worth the wait until october 28th.

do rocafella and boygenius have any more inside scoop about the validity of the sept 1 release date as listed by engadgetmobile.com?

thanks again.

I was just reminded of another reason I want to RID myself of my Cingular Treo...... the annoying interference emtting from my Treo as a result of the GSM technology it uses. Everytime I put it next to my computer speakers... I want to throw it accross the room.
Anyone who has/had a GSM phone should know what I'm talking about.

With that said, we always get good deals from VZW, for example, the 7130e costs us $30 for voice/data, $80 for data only.
Do any of the insiders on this board have insight to what the pricing will be for the non biz customer?

The .pdf files were posted earlier regarding the 8703e. No mention of a camera was ever referenced the documentation provided.

thanks for the answer. since no camera, treo 750 appears to have both a camera and cdma; bb8703e only cdma and supports similar other specs. i would like to purchase the bb8703e. can you compare it to the treo 750?

might I recommend a homework assignment for you....

navigate your way to previous pages in this thread.... download the PDF spec of the 8703e... then do a little google search on the Treo 750 spec.. (I don't even think it's released... better off comparing it to the 700p or 700w..your choice)... then you could come back here for some carification if you have any questions... if your looking for numbers and a statistical comparison... I think you're in the wrong thread....also, do you HONESTLY think you would get a fair and unbaised opinion on a BLACKBERRY messageboard ?!?!?!?!?!?!?

This has been discussed but I'll throw my .02 in anyway. In my opinion of the last 2 years and about 7 devices nothing beats a blackberry. The complaint i had WAS voice quality but that is more of a network issue than device, now that an 8700 will available for VZW I should be complaint free. I currently carry a VZW razr and a cingular 8700c but soon to be no longer; assuming there will no voice quality issues with the 8703e. When it comes to e-mail nothing can touch a BB, as far as multimedia goes, windows mobile does have the edge but thats about it for advantages of windows, IMO...

I was looking at a Treo but personally, I just couldn't bring myself to spend $600+ on a phone. Also, I have fairly big fingers and I just COULD NOT get used to the keyboard. I currently use VZW for voice (Moto E815) and a T-mo 7290 for data. I'll miss having my camera and MP3's but I won't miss carrying 2 phones around (personal preference). Once you go blackberry, you won't want to go back. VZW provides great service in my area and from what I've seen so far, you can't really go wrong with a blackberry...

Cool More pics...

Okay, what this thread needs at this point is A) more pics and B) BETTER pics!

So, here you go:

BTW, I take NO credit for these pictures. They were posted on another forum by roc a fella, so give any credit for them to him. I'm just passing them along for the enjoyment of all!
