It's amazing how quick nick's story is changing. First, he guaranteed that there would be no "e" in the name. Then, he said that the unit wouldn't be available at all until 10/28. Now he's changing that story to say that it won't be available in stores until 10/28. Do you even have a defense for your completely wrong predictions? You obviously have no contacts or information that are accurate. Maybe someone is feeding you misinformation just to make you look stupid on these boards. If that's the case, then they are succeeding!!!

Just got this from my VZW account rep:

- Monday is the launch date for the 8703e (Sept 18)
- Spec sheet, pricing, etc. are all "officially" released to VZW sales
- Price with 2 year contract (with corp discount) = $244.99
- Price with 1 year contract = $274.99
- Full Retail = $469.99

Comparatively, the 8703e's $244.99 price sits between the Q ($269.99) and the XV6700 ($369.99).

Cheers,

i called the verizon sales number and asked if I would be able to get a discount because I work for a particular bank that uses verizon. he said you get 18% then i told him i already have the 18% plan discount, how much cheaper is it for the phone, he said that has not been determined yet and there would be some sort of employee discount, i just have to call back monday.

I really want the phone however for 100 bucks of i could wait a day. do you guys believe i could get this deal
"- Price with 1 year contract = $274.99" as one of the other members mentioned.

Wait a few months... the price will drop... I wish it was sooner than later too. Atleast it's here. I like my 7250... but it's time to move on.

why not wait until October 23rd when it really comes out ::cough cough::

I, however, have warned my girlfriend of September 18th (overnight shipping) and she will be fully prepared with a towel.

thats right, I went there.

i don't see why people need to buy it at the store if it is going to be another few weeks...just buy it online, easier, quicker, better. I can understand if you want to demo it first, but it can't be worse than what verizon has now(7250+7130), it will probably take them even longer to setup a demo of it in the stores. And if you order it online, like another poster said, you have like 10 days to test it out...

Summary: Buy it Online This Sunday(After I place My order ;)

Has anyone seen or posted the corporate device pricelist for 3rd quarter? I tried posting it here, but is too big as a pdf. It is dated 9/7/06. It shows:

2yr price $269.99
1yr price $299.99
Retail price $469.99

[QUOTE=Eric5273]Is this confirmed, or are you guessing?

Because Verizon has never put Get It Now on any of their Smartphones whether it be Blackberry, Palm, or Windows Mobile devices.

If they are indeed doing this, then that would be great. I really did like using Mobile IM on my LG phone. While some people hate that it uses SMS, I like it because it doesn't run down the battery.[/QUOTE

I just looked at Verizon's testman site and there is no mention of brew so I don't think it will have the get it know features

there is two ways you can go with that... if you leave it on ALL THE TIME then yea, expect a drain on the battery.

I used agile messenger for windows mobile. Turn it on when i use it, turn it off when I dont.

The sms versions, OZ messenger client for T-Mobile for example, are only good options if you have unlimited SMS plans, otherwise expect that x-count of SMS to go quickly and the .10 to start racking up
