Yes I know. That's why I wonder why they don't want to provide warranty even without joining their plan. I called Blackberry Tech Service and they forwarded me to CSL Hongkong again.

And when I called CSL Hongkong, they did not want to help me even if i'm willing to pay for the service.

I'm helpless.

Thanks Stinsonddog.

I've tried already.
I tried with JavaLoader and also with JVM Commander, with and without battery.
I tried installing the software using application loader on the desktop software, with and without battery.

The device just won't connect to the PC. It keeps turning itself on and off.

Maybe I'm crazy or lucky, but I had a JvM 547 and saw all of these forums with the same step by step processes...

I decided that wasn't good enough as, being a fool, I hadn't backed up my latest phone numbers and I didn't want to lose them. And, I decided that T-mobile could take care of this step by step (I installed my car stereo today so I was a little weary of step by step)...

Instead, I removed the SIM and turned on the phone. After a 20 second hourglass, I got the Blackberry OS (normal as ever, except no SIM). I backed up my stuff instantly, and then I turned it off, added the sim and transflash, and turned it back on.

Now it works fine.

Is this a viable solution, or was I just lucky?
