Hi.my partner has recently had her 9300 replaced by a 9320 as it was deemed unrepairable. The 9320 is a nice fone and she is happy , all her apps now work and her calls dont cut off.However there is a small fly in the ointment, although her music plays through the speaker , there is no sound coming through when she puts her headset in. The headset works ok as I have tried it in my 9300, also tried substitute headset but this is the same. Is there a mute somewhere or a setting I need to change so the headset works?

There is a mute button. But have you played with the jack and tried different headphones? I would be interested in what happens if you move the jack slightly in and out, or turn it. And also what happens with a different jack.

hi many thanks, I have moved the jack round and in n out,as i said before,i have tried other headset too.when you slide the jack out,there is a sound comes through,like a (quiet) helicopter and a sound bar comes on screen with headphones icon and red bar through.

See what others say. If you play a media file and it isn't muted or paused and you can't manage to get audio through the head phones, then I think there is a problem with the jack.

You've probably tried a hard reset, right? If not, do it. You could also try reinstalling the OS just to be sure that isn't the problem.

With the power on, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds.

Ahhhh. I should have asked about/suggested that first thing. It is the first troubleshooting step, but sometimes easy to forget. I'm glad it's working now.
