Default Need Help With Antenna Signal Problem

Please Login to Remove!

Here is my story.

My phone was working fine. After ending a call the other day i put the phone in my pocket, after taking it out 30 minutes later it said SOS at the signal. So i took out the battery. Put it back in and then now says either..... Searching for signal or No signal.

I tried flashing, hard reset, restoring os.

I have the phone opened does anyone know where to locate the antenna for the signal?

Much help appricated. The phone was bought used so no warrenty and BB wants $50.00 to talk on the phone about any technical support, What a joke.

The antenna is in the bottom portion of the device, along the bottom edge.

If you don't have warranty support (bought used), RIM doesn't offer free support for non warranty devices.

My suggestion, get a SIM swap from your service provider. Often that can make a difference.

How did you damage it if you don't know where it is?

How do you KNOW for certain it is the antenna?

Read my first post above.

I've had experience with this. Don't tear your BB apart when you could just try a SIM swap first... much less invasive. Like I said, EVEN if your SIM works in other devices and other BlackBerrys... even if.

I thought it was four. From your other forum post.

Oh well.

Here is the antenna location... the piece at the bottom.
