Default Pearl vs Curve for verizon?

Please Login to Remove!

I want a blackberry and need to figure out which one is for me. Can you people give me some reason why you do or dont like either one?

I want something small and lightweight that why I am looking at the pearl. I am not sure about not having a full keyboard to type. How good is the suretype?

Thanks in advance

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry Curve 4.6.0.62)

I love my curve but I miss sure type so bad. If you want small and light weight go with the pearl.

I have dropped my curve several times, as I sometimes seem to be a rather clumsy oaf, and it has kept on working [i.e., takes a licking and keeps on ticking]. The camera is good, sound quality for calls is excellent, fits easily in your hand, and the battery life is exceptional --- what is not to like about it anyway.
Good luck.

I switched from a pearl to a curve, and I would not go back. love the full keyboard, bigger screen, and all that. Not that the pearl was bad, it was nice and small, barely knew it was there. I use mine for business and it serves me almost like a mini-computer. Pearl was just too small for that.

I like my 8830. It is not the smallest but it works and I like the bigger screen.

you will like the curve better with the full keyboard, it is a luxury tha ti currently don't have, but the pearl is an awesome device, i suggewst getting the curve though, you will like it more in the long run.

If you want a small device get the 8130, just give Suretype a week to get use to it. If you use the browser and read long emails a lot, the bigger screen is helpful on the 8330. I have both and I enjoy the small size of the Pearl on long conversations.

I have a pearl and don't care for it. I have large hands and can't seem to hit the smaller keys. It is a great phone but too small for me. I am currently trying to purchase a curve.

I have both and prefer the curve. It fits my hand better and I like the larger screen.

I have the Pearl but have played around with a co-worker's Curve. Although I like the overall size of the Pear I would get a Curve if I was going to do it all over again. For me the larger screen and full keyboard would be better. Sometimes I find the screen on the Pearl is too small.

I've had both and prefer both....depending on what I'm doing.

It's a win/win.

I like my Curve because of the full keyboard. I cut my teeth so to speak on a BB World Edition with a "huge" keyboard and I couldn't see using anything else. Even though I do have small hands, the Pearl felt WAY too small and I'm not a big fan of the layout either.

I was scared at first when I ordered the Curve online, thinking that it would end up being a huge phone (my worst nightmare), but the Curve is the perfect size! Not only that, it has the full keyboard, (the Pearl only has suretype, which would get way too confusing for me) and a large screen - great for viewing attachments, menus, etc. At first I was going to order the Pearl because I liked the color, but I'm very happy I decided to go with the Curve! Best phone I've ever owned
