Default WiFi Connection in "Home" network

Please Login to Remove!

I just got myself a BB 9000. Nearly everything works smooth.

However, I do not understand exactly the way a WiFi connection to the server works.

Assuming, my device is inside a private Network where the BES server lives too, and, it is connected to this network via WiFI:
How is the data from the Device to the BES server routed ?
At the moment, it looks to me like the communication is routed from the BB to the blackberry network, then, back to the BES server trough the internet.
There seems to be no "home" network, where the device can communicate without the Blackberry network.

Is my assumption true ?

I hoped, that, when the device is inside my firewall, I could use WiFi to have a fast connection to my network, but this seems not the case.

Anyone here, who has knowledge or knows a link to a Rim KB article ?

Edit:
I found a rim KB, where it said: "the Internet browser is automatically selected when the device is inside a non-routable (192/172/10) network". But this does not happen. When I check my devices IP, I still appear with the IP of the BES server.

Thank you.

Default

solved more or less.
You have to manually add a bookmark in the browser which specifies the browser to use for this bookmark - the hotspot Browser.
Maybe, that the system automatically uses this browser if inside a private network, but, for bookmarks which are already made in the Blackberry Browser, it switches back to the BES browser.

A little annoying, but I can live with that.
