I asked a friend to text me a picture , all I got was a message from Tmobile go online to view , I called Tmobile they said I need to add this feature for 19.99/month ?

or if you have mms included in your plan, you can just update your os to 4.5 and it will let you receive mms with out internet access.

I'm running OS 4.5.0.55 and I have unlimited text on my plan . I received & sent SMS (text) OK but just not MMS .

This sounds odd. I can send and receive mms on Tmobile, but each one costs 10 cents. I have unlimited messages also, but mms don't seem to count as messages.

What do they want to charge $19.99 for?

I have an unlimited texting plan for Tmobile and I DO NOT have a data plan and I am able to receive and send picture messages. The ones I receive, I'm able to view immediately. This is due in part becasue I have the Blackberry Feature Enabler, which enables cerain features for free. You have to call tmobile cust service to activate, just by asking the guy

I did some reading at Tmobile web site (FAQs) and changed my APN from wap.cingular.com to wap.voicestream.com , sent myself a couple of pics and was able to view them on my phone within seconds . Consider thread closed & thanks all for your inputs
