Ok. I am giving Ramble a try. I have a couple questions that I could not find the answer to by searching.

1. I try to access Buddy Info and get a blank white screen. Why is this?

2. I see when I logon that there are ALL of the buddies that are online. If I collapse that and open a sub folder (i.e. Friends) I see all that are online as well as offline. Is there a way to make only the online buddies appear when I open these sub folders?

I have a 7100t from TMO.

Thanks

1. The Buddy Info feature doesn't work on mine either but I assume it's because it's still in its infancy. Probably next update will fix that.

2. That's odd because only my online buddies appear. At the very top I have a folder titled "Online." You might want to try collapsing the rest and opening that list. If anything, you can email the developer. He responds in a timely fashion.

Good luck. This is a great free program.

Ok. I will do that. Yeah in regards to question 2 I have the online folder open. I was trying to go for more of the look like the AIM appears on a desktop where buddies are shown by the folder they are in as opposed to one big "online" folder. But I will email the developer. Thank you for responding.

I can't seem to login with my .mac screen name. I get "Login failed! Reason unknown. Error code: 989", but I'm reasonably certain it's because my login is [email address] - I tried just torifile to see whether the error was different, and it was. Any fixes for this?

It works for me, I have a Verizon 7250, and all I did was install it with no special configurations.

One problem that I seem to be having is that the buddy status never seems to be accurate in the buddy list. Sometimes buddies are marked available even though they are set to away. It's kind of an annoyance.

I have unlimited with Nextel and have never seen any additional charge from using messenger. I've used other messengers as well and never saw an increase. I'd call Sprint and whine, they seem in a giving mood lately for Nextel customers.

i suppose I shoudl had that I don't have hte 5meg limit . . . dunno how that may play in . . .

*Update* Ramble is available! The latest version 0.9.10.8 has a number of improvements (and possibly a few new bugs). Please download the new version and help us improve the product by giving us feedback!

I had the same problems, and as mentioned here, called and had Cingular add wap.cingular access point to my BBUNL. Problem solved in less than 2 minutes.

Good luck

I just installed Ramble, and so far, it's pretty great. Just 2 issues:

1) The idle times seem a tad bit off on my buddy list.
2) As your conversation gets longer with people, the longer it takes to open up the IM window when coming from the buddy list window. I have to usually resort to clearing the convo window when it gets too long. There should be an option to delete older messages as new ones come in.
3) For some reason, when i'm not in the Ramble program itself and do other things (in the main menu, checking mail, etc.), i get the notification window of a new message, but do not get a vibrate or tone to notify me. I only get those notification sounds/vibrations when i'm actually in the program

Anyone else having these issues?
