Default SimulatorLESS

Almost there.

I have DM 5.0
I have BlackBerry Simulator device 9520 and 9630
I am the BES Admin

I open Sim and then DM, change the sim to connect via USB and the DM detects it. I add my test user account to BES and set activation password.

I go to EA and it just sits and times out. It will not browse either.

I have read through several forums and seem to be getting overwhelmed. I do not get the popup to create encryption key.

What else do I need to make this work.

Mind you I had this working over a year ago but can't remember.

thanks

What about the DM. Isn't there a way to prompt me to use a specific username when launching?

Just two years all I did was launch the DM and simulator for a device Enterprise Activated the device and wala. what am I missing here

There is a way to prompt for a profile in DM. In the upper right under options, profile options, prompt for profile.

The problem could be is that you don't have a mail profile setup on the local machine for your BES user, which would explain why you don't see the encryption key generating nor activation working.

I was able to browse with the simulator but still can't figure out how to sync email with it.
In groupwise is it possible to sync email with a simulator? Nor does teh DM allow me to change profiles like exchange.

Any ninjas out there

Finally an answer. It is not possible to use a simulator in GroupWise on a remote desktop. The simulator needs to be installed on the BES and the test user is assigned the device by right clicking on the user. per RIM.
