Unhappy Calendar notification (or lack thereof).

Please Login to Remove!

ever since i moved from my Pearl to the Curve, i've been unable to get the device to notify on calendar events.

Calendar Options, default reminder is 15 minutes, snooze of 5 minutes. Active profile "normal" has vibe+tone, with 3 vibes and a song picked for holster and out of holster.

Beyond me why the heck it won't make any noise, but i've missed a few cricitcals because of this and i need to get it fixed.

Please advise if you know or have any better ideas on how to get this fixed.

Thanks.

That was a software bug on early versions. What is your OS version? Look in Options >About.

Yeah, that's a pretty old version. I'd update it to the latest:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...2-2-173-a.html

That'll likely fix the calendar notification problem.

This reminds me...

I have .180 and notifications work fine, except when I choose "dismiss" they never make it back to the desktop copy of Outlook. In other words, I have an appointment while in the field, I get the reminder on the bb, dismiss it as I make the meeting, etc. Then when I log into Outlook at the office, it beeps and tells me that appoint is x hours overdue... I am on BES w/ hosted Exchange.

Is that typical behavior or am I missing something stupid?

The same thing happens with calendar dismissals for me. It's annoying. I hope they get that added to the wireless reconcile some day.

Yeah, .89 isn't even the latest for AT&T. The one I linked will give you the latest and greatest. Good luck!

Hello! Can anyone help me out... I have spend HOURS at the at&t store along with hours of tech support which had lead me to getting a new bb curve all because of this problem! My alarm will not ring!!!

Please, does anyone know the download I need if I am using a MACbook? I tried downloading the link in response to Tylars message, but it would not open on my MAC.

If anyone can help, you have no idead how much i would appreciate it.

Thanks!!

I would like to know also, since I have a MacBook too. It seems like there are a lot of things that I cannot do since I have a Mac But, at least I can get it to sync my calender (I had to manually enter all my contacts though)

OK, I downloaded the newest OS. V4.2.2.181 (platform 2.4.0.79), however, when a calendar item pops up to remind me, I get no sound, just the popup and the blinking red LED

----edit----

Nevermind, I found the answer in FAQ (I didn't get a manual for this thing)
