the bold doesn't have a code 8320

and also, on crackberry.com i have the same thread and there's been a person who has already messed w/ the device bc of him working for at&t.

aaaaaand additionally, my friend at the store knows it's not the bold, they haven't even heard of an official release, but he heard the next shipment of this NEW Curve is coming in sometime within a week. I'm hoping for the best!

It's the exact same device, except the Wi-Fi will not be capable of UMA (on AT&T) - only data. The colors are going to be different and it will launch with OS 4.5, but that will be it. AT&T probably is likely getting the device on a massive clearance rate. If it launches later this week, I'd be surprised... I could definitely see 2-3 more weeks, though. But who knows.

As for the IMS capabilities, AT&T already offers U-verse Voice, so who knows... perhaps they will soon launch the IMS platform (and GAN/UMA functionality) for mobile devices, as well... and perhaps all Wi-Fi enabled BlackBerry devices will be compatible. That's a nice thought.

What is all this doubt? It has been confirmed that the 8320 is coming to AT&T within the next month.

Thanks

Somewhere a foghorn sound just played.

And I stand corrected now about what I said earlier about this being the Bold - wasn't up to date on my BB news after all and hadn't heard about AT&T getting the 8320 until a few days ago

8320 for AT&T will also be a 3G phone, don't expect to see this until after the Bold releases, as the Bold has been always marketed as the first 3G Blackberry on AT&T

Wirelessly posted (BB 11020)

Um, no the 8320 is not/will not be 3G. There may be other models come out that are 3G but the 8320 is not and will not be.
