Default Outlook Categories not Syncing w/ BB Address Book

I'm in the process of doing some major housecleaning on my Address Book. I went into the "Major Category List" in Outlook and made a boatload of changes (mostly deletions). I'm noticing now the the categories I deleted in Outlook are still showing up in my BB Address Book?

Why is that and how do I fix it?

I looked in every conceivable place in the Desktop Manager and didn't find a clue, and couldn't find anything relevant here after doing a search.

Try this.

OPen Desktop Manager and click on the synchronize icon. It will bring up a pop up labled synchronize. Click on the configuration tab and under "Configure synchronization setting for your desktop manager program" click on the configure synch button.

It will now bring up another box that says Device (a bunch of letters and numbers) configuration. You'll see icons for address book, calendar, memo pad, and tasks. Make sure address book is highlighted and click the configure button.

When the drop down appaears click advanced settings. Under advanced settings click the conflcit resolution button. Under that set it up so that "Outlook wins".

I hope that works for you. However I would still make sure that any contacts you have on your BB you also have in outlook. I wouldn't want you to lose anything.

I tried that and it didn't work. All of the extra categories are still on the BB. I'd appreciate another idea.
