I am trying to record and play audio files using J2ME MMApi on 7250 simulator, but it throws Media exception. I don't know how to configure that in for the simulator.

What kind of audio format are you trying to use?

You cannot record audio - BlackBerry does not support it (well the 7520 has something similar to recording audio based on the IDEN chipset included).

The 7250 only supports tones and midi (monophonic). I suggest you use the

(javax.microedition.media.Manager)

public static String[] getSupportedProtocols(String content_type)

to view the list of supported protocols.

I want this record and play functionality for blackberry phones that can work with Verizon in US. The only blackberry's they support are 7250 and 7130e. I have the following to verify at this point.
1. Do they support amr or wav file encodings or any other audio file encodings?
2. Is there a way I can record and play my voice using java api on these phones?
