There are several threads with that mention. You need to call or go by if your link is down.

No, I think he means actually upgrading his unit from the 8100 to the 8320. The links on mytmobile.com don't work to purchase the 8320.

Yes, i understood that, but I think the thread title too is deceiving, there are many out there today looking for the 8320 OS download.

Yup - if you get it at the store, you'll have to pay on the spot. If you order it from customer care, it will go on your bill.

I didn't even know that. I thought you would have to pay it immediately from online as well. That's cool to know. Maybe I CAN get it sooner than I thought.

You are correct. I ordered my Curve on Sunday and it will be added to my bill. Same thing when I upgraded to my Pearl. It's not a pretty bill, but you don't have to pay immediately.

If you can't order online then definitely call CS and they will gladly take care of it for you. I'm hoping my BB Curve gets shipped today since I ordered it Friday and got the confirmation text Saturday morning.

Not trying to put you on blast..but when you started your acct did you have to put a deposit? alot of phone companies give you a "spending limit" based on credit ratings like if your bill goes over a certain amount in your case 250.00 they shut the phone off..When i was with sprint a while back my spending limit was only 125.00..

I was on Tmo for 3 years or so a few years back (just recently returned)... I ran into a similar problem when trying to get a Sidekick and my balance was only just over $100.

I tried to upgrade but my lines don't qualify for an upgrade, they want 449.00 per phone. I told them to stick it

As I recall, you need to have the line active for 11 months on a 12 month contract, or 22 on a 24 month contract in order to get the upgrade credit for a new device. This requirement, combined with your commitment for the following 12 or 24 months to keep the line active, is how they balance giving you a subsidy on the phone purchase price. The idea is that they'll give you a couple of hundred dollars discount in exchange for a certain amount of profitable business with them. The concept is pervasive in the mobile phone market.

Sorry you were frustrated - but they're in this as a business proposition. TMo is about the cheapest way to get good mobile service in the US along with great customer service. My guess is that you'll find it even more expensive to do business with other carriers.

I'm on month 17 of a 24 month contract, customer since 2004.

I called a local retail store, and was quoted $399. "No thanks."

Then I called 800-tmobile and managed to get the full upgrade pricing ($250 after rebate, 2 year contract).

I mentioned that I'm an employee of a large customer of theirs, and I also mentioned that they are one of my customers and that I'm meeting with some of their folks later this week..."I want to show off my new blackberry!" ...I don't actually think this part had any impact on the guy to be honest.

$15 extra for expedited shipping, and I should see it this week!

Just FYI for everyone, but the link works now, I just upgraded to the 8320 online free of error messages.
