I have been having some issues with youtube. Noone else seems to have posted anything similar to what is happening on my device. Whether I load a youtube vid on opera mini or browser it does the same. I open the vid and start to play it, but if I try to press stop, pause or go back to the webpage the phone tends to just turn off with the led lit red and then reboots...and then also yesterday I started playing one and about halfway through it just stop saying there was an error with the network or something of that nature and it just says error in the top corner and I just have to go back. The first issue is the predominant one though and it makes me really mad because I want youtube to work but I dont want my phone to keep crashing to the point it gets buggered up. Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.
Hi Bryan, have you tried clearing your cache memory? I had a problem similar to what you are experiencing. I cleared my cache memory under Browser setttings and that seemed to work. Give it a try and let me know if it worked
Thanks quadchick I will give that a shot and see if it makes a diff. I noticed over the weekend though as I tried to get it working again, it didnt do the reset, but rather now it seems to play like half the song and then get a network error and stops the stream...would that mean my service provider is too slow to do this? or is it still a partiular issue with my phone? Any other rogers customers with alot of youtube use that can give any input? Thanks.
I am having the same problem as well. I've heard the OS may be the issue. I watched two whole videos today...then it happened again. so for about 12 youtube attempts i have watched 5 videos successfully and in completion. The others just play halfway...freeze then the entire hand held reboots.
