Drop in toilet maybe done! If ya do remove battery place in warm dry area for 7 days before you even think of placing battery back in!

I've dropped mine down the stairs a few times on accident. Fell right out of mt belt clip (which was open... Ugh) down about 15 stairs to a wood floor.
No scratches, dents, smudges, it "invalid sim" messages. Its a really durable phone

Solid state electronics and tough, lightweight materials are a blessing.

Yeah into the snow a few times my pearl took a swim in a puddle of ice water....a week later and it still works but now I have the curve. Don't think I'll be going by ice puddles for a while. Got a hard case and it has some scratches but no problems with the phone

Last summer my 8300 was thrown into a swimming pool by my niece, promptly removed the battery, soaked it in denatured alcohol for a few minutes to displace the water, let dry for 48 hrs before replacing battery, and my wife is still using it to this day after I bought my 8310.

Just get an oem rubber case and you won't have any problems.

I have dropped mine onto tile, wood, concrete and cinder block. I have sent it flying across the sidewalk trying to answer it while drunk. I have slept on it, I have smacked it across the room when the morning alarm goes off.
So far I have replaced the faceplate 3 times, the battery door once, the siderails once and taken the trackball apart to clean it once. The only original part is the chin piece/ mic cover. It still works flawlessly.

I have a rubber case but it has been dropped a few times. I also had it slam into my dash when I hit my brakes once. It hit hard enough to reboot it. Still works no errors.

My cousin has had the Curve for quite some time (the original silver one). He dropped it, broke the trackball and they replaced his phone with the new Curve 8310 Titanium. I say he won out on that deal! LOL
I'm just concerned about breaking the trackball from overuse. Is that even possible?

I have mine in a Speck clear case and have had it drop innumerable times from tables and my hand(slippery fingers). My cats always like to crash test my new devices to make sure that they meet their approval!

Dropped it once. An error saying "SIM Card Error" flashed on the screen for a second and disappeared.
Works fine.
